eBook Educators Group

where educators come to learn from one another

Hello,

We are just getting into working with eReaders at our school library and we have both nooks and kindles.

I am wondering if there is a way that you can lock the students out from the settings on both devices so that they cannot change or look at the credit card information?

Also do you need to register each device separately if you want to have them genre specific?   We would like to have one designated for classics, one that is just guy reads, etc.

Any Suggestions for either question would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, you might also want to send a message out to one of the groups to see if others have ideas!

Cheers!

When I use my kindle, I have an app on my laptop, iPad, and a kindle itself. When I download books amazon gives me a screen where I tell them where to deliver the book. I would bet anything that you could do the same thing, and just tell it which kindle to deliver to. You would name each kindle something to help you remember what is on it, like mystery, nonfiction, etc. you could put some books into more than one category and have it on two kindles if you thought it would be very popular book. I havent tried it with multiple kindle devices, just with my apps and kindle. Does that make sense?
