Can you organize all your Kindles on 1 Amazon account?

Hello All!  I'm so glad that I found the eBook Educators Group! It's nice to know that I'm not jumping into the world of e-reader technology blind.

I have 60 Kindles to be used with two high school English classes.  I'm planning to set them up next week and I thought I'd ask a few questions before attempting the task. First, can you set up all the Kindles on one account?  I know that I can load one book on 6 Kindles.  Can I buy 10 copies on the same account and load them onto all 60?  I'll stop there for now and post another question later.  Thanks in advance!  - Shannon

Hi! Did you figure out how to do this? I have five kindles that my district approved purchasing last year but now we are trying to figure out how to register them and purchase books. Does each Kindle need it's own registration? How do you share a book on more than one Kindle?

I created 5-6 Amazon accounts and loaded six books per account.

Hi Shannon, check the Resources section for help with this; also, Buffy Hamilton has posted extensive suggestions on her blog at The Unquiet Librarian. Kathy Parker, another Ning member here, can help as well; just search for them and send them a message. Good luck!

I just read Buffy's post and I think she's answered my question.  Although, before purchasing my Kindles in June, I asked Amazon if I could each book onto 6 Kindles and they said yes.  I'm a bit confused now.  Help?
