My Nook program has officially started!

A few days ago, I checked out the first 3 Nooks for literature circles/book clubs!!!  The students were SO excited and I'm so happy to have the program up and running!  I wish I had taken pictures, but it was in the middle of another class, so I just didn't have the time.  You can read the full post on my Wordpress blog, A Wrinkle in Tech.  I hope to have some more reflections and thoughts after I teach the rest of 4th and 5th…

Granted!

I was just awarded a $3600 grant to buy 12 kindles for our middle school. The grant requested 6 Kindles for library use and 6 for classroom use.



The Library Kindles would have popular materials and some music as well as a few audible books. The classroom Kindles would have subject specific trade novels to be used in small groups. I would also load magazine and/or newspaper subscriptions to the Teacher Kindle.
