Color Nook or Kindel

Our library has received a grant in which I am able to purchase ereaders. I am not sure at this time if I should go with the color nook or the kindel. The grant is specifically for K-3 literacy, even though our library does service K-6 grade. Can you give me your thoughts? Which one has worked for you or what doesn't work well for you?
