Linn, look up Kathy Parker here on the Ning for her thoughts on checkout. I know she has been very successful with that. My public library here in Maryland uses Overdrive and I can check out up to four books at a time at no cost. I agree that publishers are not helping, but I do see the Nook and Sony as having a big advantage in this area. Please give a holler with other questions and we will try to help!
