where educators come to learn from one another
I invested in Follett Shelf last year with the hope that the ebooks would be able to be downloaded onto my Nook color ereaders, but that hasn't been the case. Now I'm contemplating buying an SD card…Continue

Hi I am wondering if anyone can share how their e-books are shaping their programs or curricula. Are people simply lending the e-books out, or are they using them in their programs.
Thanks for any input.
Hi Melinda,
In answer to your question as to which titles we have downloaded onto our Kindles. For 2nd & 3rd grade we've downloaded some of the Magic Tree House series, Ivy and Bean series and the Polk Street Kids series. Here are some others: How to Steal a Dog; Al Capone Does My Shirts; The Watsons Go to Birmingham; The Hunger Games Trilogy is very popular; Savvy; The Boy in the Striped Pajamas; Bad Girls Don't Die; Just Listen; The Graveyard Book; Among the Hidden; Pride and Prejudice; The Room; Life as We Knew It; All the Lovely Bad Ones; these are just some to name a few.
Thank you Marcia for answering Gwen's question concerning the purchasing of e-books for her Kindles. Yes, gift cards through Amazon seem to work nicely for those schools not having a school credit card or a procurement card.

Click the QR code on your smartphone to grab Sonnet 65 by the Bard himself! An experiment with how to distribute learning resources to students' mobile devices.
Download the QR code, print it, and post it somewhere for students to access. Or post it on your blog or other school website. Get the i-nigma code reader in the App Store or the Android market. It is the reader we prefer. Courtesy of The Learning Mag.
