Comment by Neil Sawers on August 23, 2011 at 6:59pm Hello
This is my first post and it's probably a selfish one. My interest is to find out which high schools and colleges are using or planning to use digital materials to help their students. I'm a writer with a couple of books on writing - one on writing essays and term papers and one for business on writing proposals and reports. Both books have been well received. I'm just about to release the 4th edition of my book on essays and term papers prior to developing a print edition. My purpose with this book is a communication one - i.e. how can I help students get across what they want to say more easily and effectively. I sense that in Ebook form it will be available to a far broader range of high school and college students - and very reasonably priced. I expect the book to be available on the Kindle and IPad and through aggregators like Smashwords to Sony, Nook, Kobo and others. I will be pleased to provide more information if requested - and is there a way I can help you?
Comment by Mandy Smith on June 14, 2011 at 9:28am Help!!! I am trying to conduct a study on e-readers in my secondary english classroom. I am looking for good resources, surveys, journal articles, can anyone give me some leads on something that might help?
Comment by Robin Schrack on April 15, 2011 at 3:29pm I never thought about copyright laws. I thought that purchasing the device and purchasing the e-books allows you freedom within the device's capabilities.
I own a Kindle for personal use and a Nook for classroom use. I am finding it difficult to navigate an account for the Nook because it needs to be tied to a charge account and the school does not have a charge account and will not allow gift cards. I am working on it.

Kaplan has all of their SAT and AP prep books free until the 16th! Loaded them on on our Early College set for later in the spring.
