I'd help but our school just put in our purchase order request for 35 Nook Colors. We will start using them in January. I can't wait! Yeah!
We are.

School email- kburnette@phm.k12.in.us
We have 10 nooks.
Great! I'll email you at your school email right now.

Good luck, Tina! I'll get you the next time!
My classroom is using the Sony eReader. We have three and will be getting two more soon.
That is fantastic! the people at Sony had no idea if any schools were using their reader. Can we connect on Tuesday of next week?
My email is jady_marie@teamfca.com
Our school library has 6 Nooks. They are finally loaded and ready for checkout. Once I get the permission slips signed by parents, the Nooks are going out (hopefully tomorrow).

I'm getting ready to start using nooks in our school library.  Any advice you'd like to give???

Feel free to email me at kpatton@usd345.com if you do.  Thanks!

The Nooks are out, and have circulated for several weeks. I had one student lose the charger for the Nook--charged her 15.00, and will buy a replacement next week. I would make sure you have parents sign a permission slip that says they agree to pay replacement cost of Nook. I also would allow a few days to get them ready--they are labor intensive at first, as you have to register them, load the books, then de-register them. My students are loving them!  I have put a little video on my blog--http://www.lucyandethelslibrary.com.  Not great, but it will maybe give you some tips. I will try to load the second video tomorrow!

Mary, I would love to see/ use your permission slip for the Nooks! I am getting 12 next week. I intended, like you, to start with 6 to book club, and the other 6 to circulation. If you don't mind sharing the permission slip and saving me time, send it to dahl@aps.edu. thanks!- Heather Dahl, Eldorado High School, Albuquerque, NM

I have a class set (30) of Nooks and have been using them all year. The middle school students love them. We do not check them out, they are for use in class only at this time. It has been an amazing experience. If you are still looking for someone to interview my contact info. is

plants-proutyr@tantasqua.org and my name is Rusti. I would be happy to help.
